Any person wanting to undertake bioprospecting in Vanuatu must apply to the Director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Conservation (the Department) for a Bioprospecting Permit. This includes bioprospecting undertaken by regional universities or other organisations, including where bioprospecting is provided for under a memorandum of understanding
